Ahoj Matej, thanks for the LinkedIn connect the other day. I think this was a fabulous introductory article and there is a lot to appreciate about your devotion to writing. Looking forward to more posts!

My advice - for what it's worth - is: always assume writer's bloc is a condition of sorts. An illness, if you will that, like the flu, must be cured. And, most importantly: can be cured. Be it in English or in Czech. (Though I cannot deny that all the continental Europeans wanting to write in English nowadays are really biting a huge slice off the apple: that's not to say you should give up or anything, just that we strongly venerate Nabokov and Conrad for reasons greater than their mere choice of language, as the French no doubt do for Samuel Beckett and Milan Kundera. I can imagine that if I was writing in hezky cesky, I'd make quadruply sure I got shit right because I know from experience that Czechs are sharp critics. :-) )

You're always invited to comment on my Substack, Timeless. As a big fan of Czech literature, you can most certainly expect to find intuitive (I hope) posts about your country's beautiful and amazing literary tradition. https://timelessfelixpurat.substack.com/ There aren't many posts at the moment, but there will be in the near future!

(PS: unless you edited it since the last comment, I don't agree that your grammar is off. As one who got his MA in Translation Studies - where we have a very sharp eye for something like too many commas - I didn't at all get the sense that your post was filled with grammatical errors.)

I love your content. There are a lot of grammar errors that make it hard to read the post. Otherwise, you're funny and insightful and I'd probably subscribe if it was more readable.
